Minutes for the Visionears June 2009

The Visionears had a brief meeting in the Gay’s rig at Grand Chapter on Saturday, June 20, 2009 after our cook out and ice cream social.

We talked about the bags that Sister Sharon Baker had. It was decided that we would NOT sell the remainder of the bags but would return them to Sister Sharon.

We discussed the New 2 You dresses. We will need to pack them up and store them until next year. Sister Jennifer Gay “volunteered” to take and store them. Sister Carolyn asked for volunteers to help pack up the dresses at the close of session.

Brother Donnie was asked to go visit with the menfolk, while we discussed the upcoming luncheon, Sister Marilyn Marsh made 34 swords in honor of Brother Donnie. There was a small charge for materials. It was moved and seconded that we pay this bill. Motion Passed.

Sister Carol Currie presented a bill for Ways and Means. It was moved and seconded that we pay this bill. Motion Passed.

Sister Ramona Hall presented a bill for supplies in conjunction with Ways and Means. It was moved and seconded that we pay this bill. Motion Passed.

Sister Jennifer Gay presented a bill on behalf of Brother Donnie, for the printing of the Disney Raffle tickets. It was moved and seconded that we pay this bill. Motion Passed.

Sister Jennifer also had a sign up sheet for distribution of the Raffle tickets. Sister Carolyn told us to be sure to put the sellers name on the back of the large ticket as there will be a separate drawing for the Visionears. The prize will be a gift card. Sell those tickets!! J

Sister E’Laine was asked to share her ideas on decorations for the All Membership Banquet for 2011. She suggests that we collect  new books for all ages and use them for the Storytellers. After the Banquet we will then donate the books to school libraries across the state.

We will meet again at the All Masonic Picnic on July 25 in Cottage Grove, 10:00 AM.

Sister Carolyn and Brother Donnie wished us all a “good session” and thanked everyone for coming. Sister Carolyn is really looking forward to the coming years and working together for the prosperity and good ot our Order.

Hello to all the VISIONEARS.

I cannot say enough how proud I was and am of all the VISIONEARS who could attend my reception on November the 15th. If you couldn’t be with us you certainly missed a great coming out party. All I can say is WOW. The red dresses looked great on everyone, they were bright and shining, just what we all wanted them to be. The black MM ears were perfect for our name. They also contrasted great with the red dress. We are all going to look now for the "Bear Necessities" to build on our future. Thank all for the wonderful gift you gave me. I will wear them with pride, my grandchildren were very pleased The Minnie Mouse is on my couch with her bow The addendum was really cute; I especially noticed everyone was having a great time, big ears and big, big smiles.

Brother Donnie was overwhelmed by the greeting he received not only from the membership, but the enthusiasm he received from all the AC’s. He and Jennifer are looking forward to advancing to the Grand East, not only with Ted and I, but with all the AC’s throughout the state. We have been talking over some plans for the future and I think they will be fantastic We are both glad to have all of you be a part of our plans.

I have at this time one more school to complete Nevita Chapter did not have a quorum so I along with the WGM will be headed south to Central Point on the 13th of January. That will be my last school I can’t express how wonderful it was seeing so many sisters and brothers who I haven’t seen for years I also met many new faces and enjoyed getting acquainted with each and every one It was nice to get acquainted with each and every new AC. Many of them live a long way from Portland and couldn’t be with us on the 15th but they are just as excited to be a part of our group next year we will have Conductress join us who could not be AC s for some reason or other. We will welcome them to our group and initiate them in to being a VISIONEAR. We have the most fun and enthusiastic group, and I am so proud of my officers Sister Dorothy just bubbles about everything. Sister Elaine has a lot of great ideas. Sister Sarah is really enjoying herself and looks forward to what we dream up next sister Mary Lou loves to count money and watch our account grow she has done a great job setting up our account getting our Tax ID and watching our money grow for our future session. Sister Sharon has made sure our information is getting out to all our members, dues notices, badge forms and etc. Sister Barbara Wiley sends our get well messages, and makes sure God is watching over all of us in our daily lives. Many thanks to each of you for helping me get off to a great start. The dress form is in this newsletter, order from Ruth Rewey as soon as you can. The first set of badge orders have gone in and should be here soon. Sister Judy will bring a finished tote to us at our next luncheon. The luncheon will be on Jan.l7th at Adah Chapter in Independence. Please try to attend and help us get our plans underway. We need to get started on some things for our Grand Session.

Brother Ted and I wish each and everyone a

VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS AND THE HAPPIEST OF NEW YEARS.

Thank you all for your love and support on this great adventure

Love and Hugs to Everyone, Carolyn Beecher, Assoc. Grand Conductress
